CSIR NET Eligibility Details
The candidates should meet the following CSIR NET eligibility criteria :-
Educational Qualification
- M.Sc. Life Science/ Bioscience/ Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biophysics and Masters in Allied areas of Biology/Life Sciences.
OR
- M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.V.Sc. or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ B.E./ B.Tech. in any discipline of Biotechnology, M.Sc./ M.Tech. Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology, physical science,or any other field of science
- Students appearing in the final year examination are also eligible to apply.
- Minimum Required percentage of marks for eligibility is :-
- GEN/OBC/EWS – 55% marks
- SC/ ST/ PH – 50% marks
CSIR NET Age Limit as on last date of application
- Minimum : Not Applicable
- Maximum (for CSIR NET JRF age limit ) : 28 Years
- For lecturer-ship there is no age limit.
- For different category age relaxation is different according to CSIR rules.
CSIR NET Fees for Application form
- GEN/EWS : 1000/-
- OBC : 500/-
- SC/ST/PH : 250/-
- Pay the examination fee through debit card/credit card/net banking ,etc.
About The Exam :
National Testing Agency NTA conducts the all India level examination CSIR NET Test for determining the eligibility of Indian Nationals for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and also for determining the eligibility for appointment as lecturer position available. CSIR NET Full form is “Council of Scientific & Industrial Research National Eligibility Test”.The award of Junior Research Fellowship to the successful eligible candidates depends on their finding admission/placement in a University/ National laboratory/ Institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.
Every year lakhs of students from different backgrounds like botany, zoology,biotechnology,microbiology,molecular biology and from many other fields appear for the all India level examination for NET/ JRF fellowship.This exam is conducted for the different discipline and named as per like-CSIR NET Life Science,CSIR NET in physics for know as physical science,in mathematics is knows as mathematical science, CSIR NET chemical science and lastly for EARTH, ATMOSPHERIC, OCEAN AND PLANETARY SCIENCES for respective subjects.Out of all the qualified candidates of few no. of student gets the JRF rank and remaining qualified candidates get the NET(LS) certificate for applying in any lecturer vacancy .
- On the basis of CSIR NET Certificate the qualified candidates can either join a Ph. position .
- They can also work in any project .
- The current fellowship stipend for JRF position is Rs. 31000/-month.
- Also the candidate are eligible for getting House rent allowance at the rate of 24%(current rate).
CSIR NET Paper I is common for all the disciplines and is known as general aptitude test.

Due to Increasing cases of COVID-19 the following guidelines are strictly applicable during Online exam 2020

Candidates will be permitted to carry only
a. WEARING A MASK is COMPULSORY b. Gloves c. Personal transparent water bottle d. Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml) e. A simple pen f. Exam related documents (Call Letter/Admit Card, ID card in Original, Photocopy of ID Card, etc) g. Call Letter/Admit Card should be brought with the Photocopy of the Photo ID stapled with it. Original ID (same as Photocopy) is also to be brought for verification.. h. In case of Scribe Candidates – Scribe form duly filled and signed with Photograph affixed. i. If candidate is availing the scribe, then scribe also should bring their own Gloves, N95 Mask, sanitizer (50ml) and water bottle. Wearing a mask is compulsory. Both candidate and Scribe will require to be wearing N95 Mask. j. A Candidate must have Aarogya Setu App installed on his mobile phone. In case a candidate does not have a smart phone, he/she will have to bring in a signed declaration to this effect (declaration form provided in Annexure) k. All candidates will be checked with Thermo guns at the entry point for temperature. In case, any person is observed to be having above normal temperature (> 99.14° F) or displaying any symptoms of the virus, they will not be allowed entry into the venue

Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box,
Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner etc. (b) Any communication device like Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band etc.- (c) Other items like Goggles, Handbags, Hair-pin, Hair-band, Belt, Cap, etc. (d) All ornament like Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Badge, brooch etc. should be thoroughly checked. (e) Any watch/Wrist Watch, Camera, etc. (f) Any metallic item (g) Any eatable item opened or packed (h) Any other item which could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices like camera, blue tooth devices etc. |
CSIR NET How to Apply Online for June 2020
- National Testing Agency NTA has released CSIR NET notification 2020 for Reopening of registration for application form 2020 .
- One can apply between 22/08/2020 to 10/09/2020 .
- Please read the notification before applying the CSIR NET june 2020 application form .
- Then check the eligibility,documents required like –
- Class X Certificate/Mark-sheet(DOB proof)
- Class XII Mark-sheet
- Class XII Certificate
- Graduation Mark-sheet
- Graduation Degree
- Masters Mark-sheet (If available)
- Masters Degree(If available)
- Go to the “CSIR NET Apply Online” link and register then fill the application form.
- Print the application form on A4 size paper and keep the same for future reference.
