ISRO PhD Admission 2021 Online Form. Indian Space Research Organization(ISRO) invites online applications from eligible candidates  possessing minimum qualifications required for admission in Ph.D courses .All eligible candidates, those who are interested to take admission in Ph.D at ISRO can apply here Online .

 Important Dates

 Eligibility Details-

The candidate should meet the following eligibility criteria for the Indian Space Research Organization ISRO admission 2020 in Ph.D Courses

Nationality-

candidate must be either-

1.  a citizen of India

Educational Qualification

• Candidates with a  Master’s degree in Microbiology/Botany/Zoology /Chemistry/Biotechnology/Veterinary Science/ Pharmacy/ Biostatistics  from a recognized University in India.
• Four year degree candidates from branch of Medicine/ Engineering/ Technology or any other branch are also eligible to apply.

For Engineering Students

• Applicants with Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology must have secured 65%  marks .
• For OBC / EWS-60%
• For SC/ST- 55%
• must have pursued their Master’s degree on the basis of qualified GATE score

For Masters Degree in Science

• Applicants with Master’s Degree in Science must have secured 65%  marks .
• For OBC / EWS-60%
• For SC/ST- 55%
• must have a valid UGC-CSIR-NET-JRF/Lectureship/fellowship or NBHM/JEST/GATE and State Government Science and Technology Scheme, in the relevant disciplines

For Masters Degree in Humanities/Management /Social Sciences

• Applicants with Master’s Degree must have secured 65%  marks .
• For OBC / EWS-60%
• For SC/ST- 55%
• must have a valid UGC NET JRF/State Government Science and Technology Scheme or similar fellowship of central or state government

Fellowship Required-

The candidates should have preferably qualified in any one of the following National Entrance tests in the last 2 years from the last date of submission of online application form, leading to the award of a fellowship tenable at ISRO.The fellowship must be valid till the time of joining .

• Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF
• ICMR – JRF
•  ICMR- SRF
•  DBT – JRF
• UGC-JRF
• UGC-SRF
• NBHM screening test
•  GATE 
• INSPIRE fellowship
•  GPAT 

The candidates with any one of the above fellowship will be called for written test followed by  an interview 

All candidates who do not possess any fellowship may not be preferred over the candidates with fellowship  .Candidates qualifying in the interview will be shortlisted for Admission 2021.

Age Limit-as on 29/12/2020

• Minimum      : 18 Years
• Maximum     : 35 Years
• As per the Govt. of India rule for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped candidates. upper age limit relaxation.

Application Fee

• GEN/OBC/EWS          : 700/-
• SC / ST /                      :   350/-
• Pay the Examination Fee through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

About The Selection Procedure :

• Selection of Ph.D. scholars will be based on an online Screening Test followed by an  Interview.

Weightage

• Written Test-70%
• Interview -30%

• The candidates who have participated in the Online screening test will be shortlisted if they secure a minimum of 30 % in each of Section A, (Section A comprises questions based on GATE Aptitude and Mathematics) and Section B (the research area) and a combined mark of 50 % and above for Section A and Section B together.
• A relaxation of 5 % for SC/ST/PD and OBC / EWS students.

Aerospace-Biological Heat transfer

Chemistry-Nanomaterials for  EMI shielding and Energy Storage Applications , Inorganic Materials for High Temperature Applications , Chemical Screening Platform Using Drosophilla for Drug Discovery

Humanities-Cultural Studies, Digital Humanities, Gender Studies , Economics (Technology Diffusion & Development, Development Economics)

Physics-Theoretical Physics, Nonlinear Dynamics , Atomic Layer Deposition , Experimental Condensed Matter Physics , Atomic and Molecular Physics, Molecular Physics of Interplanetary Ionosphere

At the time of Admission Bring the original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies of all the documents-

• On the Admission date bring duly filled-in Admission Form  and three recent passport size (5 cm x 4 cm) photographs.
• Arrange original documents and their self-attested photocopies in the following order:

1. ISRO Ph.D Application 
2. Class 10th Certificate.
3. Educational Certificate/Degree and Mark-sheet.
4. Character Certificate from the Institute last attended (If available).
5. SC/ST Certificate (wherever applicable).
6. A person with Disability (PwD) Certificate .
7. OBC Certificate If applicable
8. Gap Year Undertaking (wherever applicable) .

How to Apply Online for ISRO PhD Admission  2021

• ISRO has released notification for Ph.D Admission January 2021  Online Form .
• One can apply between 09/12/2020 to 06/01/2021 .
• Please read the notification before applying the ISRO form .
• Then check the eligibility,documents required like  –
• Class X Certificate/Mark-sheet(DOB proof)
• Class XII Mark-sheet
• Class XII Certificate
• Graduation Mark-sheet
• Graduation Degree
• Masters Mark-sheet (If available)
• Masters Degree(If available)
• Go to the “Apply Online” link and register then fill  the application form.
• Print the ISRO PhD application form on A4 size paper  and keep the same for future reference.
