UPSC NDA Eligibility Details-

The candidate should meet the following UPSC NDA  criteria for UPSC NDA Online Form  :

Nationality-

Candidate must be either-

1.  a citizen of India.
2.  a subject of Nepal
3.  a subject of Bhutan.
4.  a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
5.  a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Educational UPSC NDA Qualifications

For Army Wing of National Defence Academy

• 10+2/Intermediate/Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination passed from a State Education Board or a University

For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy

• 10+2/Intermediate/Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination passed from a State Education Board or a University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

 Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination. .

Note :Only Unmarried Male Candidates are eligible.

UPSC NDA Posts Allowances :

Uniform Allowance. Subsumed into the newly proposed Dress Allowance i.e. Rs. 20,000/- per year.

Free Rations.
(i) Continue in Field  Area to all Defence Officers.
(ii) Defence officers posted in peace area to get Ration Money Allce(RMA) every month.

Children Education Allowance. Rs. 2250/- per month per child for two eldest surviving only. CEA is admissible from Nursery to 12th Classes.

Hostel Subsidy. Rs. 6750/- per month per child for two eldest surviving only. Hostel subsidy is admissible from Nursery to 12th class

Leave. leave will be admissible in accordance with the rules in force from time to time.

About The UPSC NDA Exam 2021:

The UPSC NDA Selection Process  consist of :
(a) Written examination 
(b) Interview for intelligence and personality test 

UPSC NDA  Exam Pattern -Objective (MCQs) Offline

• The UPSC NDA negative marking for both exams is 1/4 ie. 0.25 marks deduction for each wrong answer.
• UPSC NDA Total marks for exam is 900 .
• The Union Public Service Commission shall prepare a list of candidates who obtain the minimum UPSC NDA qualifying marks in the written examination as fixed by the Commission in their discretion.
• Candidates who are declared successful in the written exam will be detailed for intelligence and personality test at the Service Selection Board based on their preference by the respective service HQ.
• Candidates who qualify in the written test and given their first preference as army (IMA/OTA) are required to register themselves on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in so that they get informed for SSB interview call. 
• UPSC NDA  exam date as well as ima or ifa exam date will be same ie. 18/04/2021.

SSB Selection Procedure is two stage process
selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and intelligence Test  introduced at Service Selection Boards.

Only those candidates who qualify at stage one will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests and all those who fail to pass stage one, will be returned.

Only those candidate who qualify at stage two will be required to submit photocopy each of:—(i) Matriculation pass certificate or equivalent in support of date of birth, (ii) Bachelors Degree/Provisional Degree alongwith mark sheets of all the years/semesters in support of educational qualification.
