IOCL Apprentice Eligibility Details-
The candidate should meet the following eligibility criteria :
Educational Qualification
Technician Apprentice -Mechanical
- Three years (or two years through lateral entry after ITI of minimum one year duration/10+2) full time Diploma in any of the following disciplines of Engineering:
- i) Mechanical Engineering ii) Automobile Engineering
Technician Apprentice-Electrical
- Three years (or two years through lateral entry after ITI of minimum one year duration/10+2) full time Diploma in any of the following disciplines of Engineering: i) Electrical Engineering ii) Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Technician Apprentice- Telecommunication & Instrumentation
- Three years (or two years through lateral entry after ITI of minimum one year duration/10+2) full time Diploma in any of the following disciplines of Engineering from a Govt. recognized Institute:
- i) Electronics & Communication Engineering
- ii) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
- iii) Electronics & Radio Communication Engineering
- iv) Instrumentation & Control Engineering
- v) Instrumentation & Process Control Engineering
- vi) Electronics Engineering
Trade Apprentice- (Assistant Human Resource)
- Bachelors degree in any stream from a recognized University in India.
Trade Apprentice- Accountant
- Graduation in Commerce stream from a recognized University in India.
Data Entry Operator(Fresher Apprentices)
- 10+2/Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary passed from a recognized Board in India.
Domestic Data Entry Operator(Skill Certificate Holders)
- 10+2/Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary passed from a recognized Board in India.
- Additionally, candidates should possess Skill Certificate of ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ for training of less than one year issued by an awarding body recognized under National Skill Qualifications Framework or any other authority recognized by the Central Govt.
- Those applicants having qualifications equivalent to any of the prescribed qualifications should upload Equivalency Certificate issued by the competent authority while submitting their online application and without such certificate, their candidature will not be considered.
Age Limit as on 30/10/2020
- Minimum : 18 Years
- Maximum : 24 Years
- Relaxations in age is based on the apprentice training under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 Rules.

Duration of Apprentice :
- Technician Apprentice(Elec/Mech/T&I) : One Year
- Trade Apprentices (Assistant HR/Accountant) : One Year
- Data Entry Operator and Domestic Data Entry Operator :15 Months
TRAVEL EXPENSES : No travel expenses are admissible during apprenticeship training period
BOARDING/LODGING: Boarding or lodging will not be provided by IOCL during the apprenticeship training period.
About The Exam :
The selection process for the apprentice involves a single Multiple Choice Question(MCQs) written examination :-
There will be 100 questions each carrying 1 mark.
The total marks for the paper is 100.
There is no negative marking for the written examination.

Due to Increasing cases of COVID-19 the following guidelines are strictly applicable during the travelling for exams or training.

| Candidates will be permitted to carry only
a. WEARING A MASK is COMPULSORY b. Gloves c. Personal transparent water bottle d. Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml) e. A simple pen f. Exam related documents (Call Letter/Admit Card, ID card in Original, Photocopy of ID Card, etc) g. Call Letter/Admit Card should be brought with the Photocopy of the Photo ID stapled with it. Original ID (same as Photocopy) is also to be brought for verification.. h. In case of Scribe Candidates – Scribe form duly filled and signed with Photograph affixed. i. If candidate is availing the scribe, then scribe also should bring their own Gloves, N95 Mask, sanitizer (50ml) and water bottle. Wearing a mask is compulsory. Both candidate and Scribe will require to be wearing N95 Mask. j. A Candidate must have Aarogya Setu App installed on his mobile phone. k. All candidates will be checked with Thermo guns at the entry point for temperature. In case, any person is observed to be having above normal temperature (> 99.14° F) or displaying any symptoms of the virus, they will not be allowed entry into the venue

Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box,
Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner etc. (b) Any communication device like Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band etc.- (c) Other items like Goggles, Handbags, Hair-pin, Hair-band, Belt, Cap, etc. (d) All ornament like Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Badge, brooch etc. should be thoroughly checked. (e) Any watch/Wrist Watch, Camera, etc. (f) Any metallic item (g) Any eatable item opened or packed (h) Any other item which could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices like camera, blue tooth devices etc. |
Documents Required at the time of document verification before Joining
- 10th/Matriculation certificate from a recognized board in India. as a date of birth (DOB) proof.
- SC/ST/OBC/Disability/EWS-Income & Asset certificate by reserved category candidates in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority.
- OBC non-creamy layer status should be valid and OBC certificate issued by the Competent Authority should be latest one. Formats of Certificate are available in the Detailed Notification as well as in https://plis.indianoilpipelines.in under downloads section.
- Semester-wise / year-wise mark sheets and Certificate of full-time Diploma in Engineering in respective Discipline.
- Pre-engagement Medical fitness certificate declaring the candidate medically Fit
- Any other certificate , if applicable
How to IOCL Apprentice apply Online for
- IOCL has released IOCL apprentice Online Form 2020 for the apprentice recruitment 2020-2021.
- One can apply between 04/11/2020 to 22/11/2020.
- Please read the notification before applying the apprentice form .
- Then check the eligibility, documents required.
- Kindly Scan the document to be uploaded-Photo, Sign, Thumb etc.
- Before final submission please preview and check your details.
- Take a printout of finally submitted of the apprentice Online Form 2020 and keep the same for future reference.
