IIT Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.

IIT JAM 2021 Admit Card. Indian Institute of Science Banglore, invites  IIT JAM online application from eligible candidates  possessing minimum qualifications required for admission masters programmes. IIT has released IIT JAM 2021 Admit Card. All eligible candidates, those who were enrolled for IIT JAM can  download  IIT JAM 2021 Admit Card here Online .

IIT JAM  Eligibility Details

M.Sc. Biotechnology

• Bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized University /Institute in India with minimum 55% marks for general/OBC category and 50% marks for SC/ST/PH category candidates .

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in Molecular Medical Microbiology

• B.Sc./B.S. degree (three years/six semesters) with Biology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/Life Science/ Physiology / Zoology/ Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Genetics and molecular biology as Honors/Major/ Main Subject, and any one of Chemistry/ Physics/ Mathematics as one of compulsory subsidiary subject for at least one year/two semesters.

M.Sc.- Ph.D. Dual Degree in Environmental Science and Engineering

• Any one of Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for two years/four semesters, and  any one of the other four subjects for at least one year/ two semesters.
• Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level.

M.Sc. Chemistry

• Bachelors degree in chemistry from a recognized University/Institute in India.

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in Chemistry

• Bachelors degree in chemistry from a recognized University/Institute in India.

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in Nuclear Medicine

• B.Sc./B.S. degree (three years/six semesters) with Chemistry as Honours/Major/ Main Subject, Mathematics
  as compulsory one subsidiary subject and Physics/ Biology as another subsidiary subject for at least two years/four
  semesters.

M.Sc.- Ph.D. Dual Degree in Environmental Science and Engineering

• Any one of Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for two years/four semesters, and any one of the other four subjects for at least one year/ two semesters.
• Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level.

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences

• Bachelors degree Mathematics and Physics with any one of these subjects among Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Application, Geology and Statistics

M.Sc. in Economics

• Any Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.Sc./ B.Com/ B.Stat./B. Math./ B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent). The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

                   OR

• B.Tech/B.E./ B.Sc. (PCM)/ B.Stat. and B.A./ B.Com. (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the whole programme)

M.Sc. Applied Geology

• B.Sc. Geology for three years/ six semesters and any two subjects among Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biological Science
• Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level.

       OR     

• B.Sc. Geology for three years/ six semesters and any two subjects among Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and
  Biological Science.

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in Geophysics

• Geology as a subject for three years/ six semesters and any two subjects among Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in  Geology

• Geology as a subject for three years/ six semesters and any two subjects among Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
• Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level.

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences

• Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Physics and any one of these subjects among Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Application, Geology and Statistics.

M.Sc.(Tech) in Applied Geology

• B.Sc. degree (3 year) with Geology as Honors/ Major/ Main/Equivalent subject and any two subsidiary subjects
  from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
• Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level.

M.Sc. Mathematics

• Bachelors degree Mathematics for at least two years/four semesters.

M.Sc.-M.Tech. Dual Degree in Mathematics-Data and Computational Sciences

• Bachelors degree Mathematics for at least two years/four semesters.

M.Sc. Mathematics and Computing

• Bachelors degree Mathematics for at least two years/four semesters.

M.Sc. Mathematics and Statistics

• Bachelors degree Mathematics for at least two years/four semesters.

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in Mathematics

• Mathematics/ Statistics as a subject for at least two years/ four semesters.

M.Sc. Applied Mathematics

• Bachelors degree Mathematics for at least two years/four semesters.

M.Sc.- Ph.D. Dual Degree in Environmental Science and Engineering

• Bachelors degree in Any one of Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for two years/four semesters, and any one of the other four subjects for at least one year/ two semesters.

M.Sc. Applied Statistics and Informatics

• B.Sc. Mathematics or Statistics for at least two years/four semesters.

M.Sc.- Ph.D. Dual Degree in Operations Research

• B.Sc. Mathematics or Statistics for at least two years/four semesters.

M.Sc. Statistics

• B.Sc. Statistics for at least two years/ four semesters.

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences

M.Sc. Physics

M.Sc. Applied Geophysics

• B.Sc. /B.E/B.Tech -Physics and Mathematics/ Mathematical Physics for two years/four semesters and at least one of them as subject for three years/six semesters.

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in Medical Physics

• B.Sc./B.S. degree (3yrs/6 semesters) with Physics as Honours/Major/Main Subject, Mathematics as compulsory one subsidiary subject and Chemistry/ Biology as another subsidiary subject for at least two years/four semesters.

M.Sc. Astronomy

• Bachelors degree Physics/ Mathematics /Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences

• Bachelors degree Mathematics and Physics and any one of these subjects among Chemistry, Computer Science,
  Computer Application, Geology and Statistics

Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D. in Geophysics

• Bachelors degree Geology/Physics as a subject for three years/six semesters and any two subjects among Mathematics , Physics, Geology and Chemistry.
• Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level.

M.Sc.- Ph.D. Dual Degree in Environmental Science and Engineering.

• Bachelors degree  in Any one of Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for two years/four semesters, and any one of the other four subjects for at least one year/  two semesters.
• Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level

M.Sc.(Tech) in Applied Geophysics

• B.Sc. Degree (3 yrs.) with Physics as Honors/ Major/ Main/ Equivalent subject, Mathematics as a subsidiary subject for two years/four semesters and another subsidiary subject from Chemistry, Geology, Electronics, Statistics and Computer Science for one year/two semesters.

IIT JAM Application Fee

IIT JAM Exam Pattern

• The total duration of exam is 3 hours ie. 180 minutes.
• There is a negative marking in Section A. For each 1 mark question there will be deduction of 1/3 mark and for each 2 mark question there will be deduction of 2/3 marks for every wrong answer.
• There is no negative or partial marking in section B &C.
• Section A contains all MCQs with single correct answer.
• Section B contains MCQs with more than one correct answers .
• Section C contains numerical assessment type (NAT) questions where one has to put the answer after calculation in the specified box using calculator on the screen during the exam.
• Please bring the IIT JAM 2021 Admit Card for appearing in the exam. Candidates without IIT JAM 2021 Admit Card will not be permitted to appear in the exam.
• Along with IIT JAM 2021 Admit Card please bring the original id proof like aadhar card/voter id card/PAN card etc.

How to apply IIT JAM  2021  Online Form

• IIT  has released IIT JAM 2021 notification for IIT JAM application form.
•  Candidates can apply between 10/09/2020 to 15/10/2020.
• Please read the IIT JAM 2021 brochure before IIT JAM form fill up 2021.
• Then check the eligibility and documents required.
• Kindly ready scan the photo, sign, thumb etc.
• Please preview the form before final submission.
• Then pay the IIT JAM 2021 form fee and keep the IIT JAM  exam fees payment receipt for future reference.
• Print the IIT JAM 2021 online application on A4 size Sheet and keep the IIT JAM 2021 application for future reference.
