The candidate should meet the following eligibility criteria for the CSIR IITR Scientist

Nationality-

candidate must be either-

1.  a citizen of India.
2.  a subject of Nepal
3.  a subject of Bhutan.
4.  a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
5.  a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
6. Foreign Students are also eligible for admission but under foreign quota seats.

Age Limit–as on 31/08/2025

• Minimum: 18 Years
• Maximum: 32 Years (Scientist),37 years (Senior Scientist), 45 years ( Principal Scientist)
