Educational Qualification
BARC Recruitment Category I
Mechanical
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Acquired Diploma 3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC) with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute/University in India.
Electrical
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Acquired Diploma 3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC) with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute/University in India.
Chemical
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering (Acquired Diploma 3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC) with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute/University in India.
Civil
- Diploma in Civil Engineering (Acquired Diploma 3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC) with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute/University in India.
Electronics
- Diploma in Electronics Engineering (Acquired Diploma 3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC) with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute/University in India.
Instrumentation
- Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering (Acquired Diploma 3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC) with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute/University in India.
Chemistry
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry from a recognized University in India with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (Chemistry as principal and Physics and Mathematics as subsidiary subjects)
BARC Recruitment Category II
Plant Operator
- 10+2/Intermediate/Higher Secondary in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
A/C Mechanic/Fitter/Welder/Electrician/Electronic Mechanic /Machinist/Instrument Mechanic /Welder (GMAW & GTAW)/Mechanic Diesel /Machinist Grinder
- SSC (with Science and Maths) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate AND
- trade certificate in A/C Mechanic/ Fitter/ Welder/ Electrician/ Electronic Mechanic/ Machinist/Instrument Mechanic/ Welder (GMAW>AW)/ Mechanic Diesel/ Machinist Grinder.
- The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards Trade Certificate
1. NTC (ITI pass out) of two year duration.
OR
2. NAC of Two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme
OR
3. NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus one year work experience after the completion of course.
OR
4. NTC (ITI pass out) of one-year duration plus NAC of minimum one year duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme.
Laboratory Assistant
- HSC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate
OR
- SSC (with Science and Maths) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate AND
- Trade Certificate in Laboratory Assistant
- The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards Trade Certificate
1. NTC (ITI pass out) of two year duration.
OR
2. NAC of Two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme
OR
3. NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus one year work experience after the completion of course.
OR

Technician/C (Boiler Operator)
- SSC + I Class Boiler Attendant’s Certificate granted by Government Board of any State or Union Territory.
Technician/B (Painter)
- SSC (With Science and Maths) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate PLUS trade certificate in Painter.
- The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards Trade Certificate:
1) NTC (ITI pass out) of two years duration.
OR
2) NAC of two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme .
OR
3) NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus one year work experience after the completion of course.
